This privacy statement describes how we at Scania Finland Oy (”Scania”) collect and process personal data of job applicants.

1. Data controller and contact details in data protection matters
- Receiving, processing and storage of the job application
- Concluding an employment contract between the applicant and Scania
- Storage of the job application for possible future recruitment.
- Basic and identification data: forename and surname
- Contact details: address, telephone number, email address
- Data used to assess qualifications and suitability: data related to the job application and CV, such as work experience (employer, job title, job description), education and diplomas, language skills, specific competences, work samples and other competences, work certificates
- Data on the factors and specific skills required for the job applied for (e.g. driving licence)
- Assessments and checks on the suitability and reliability of the applicant, such as personal and aptitude assessments
- Data formed during the job application process, such as communications, interviews, employer's classifications and notes
- Data on referees
- Data publicly available with the consent of the applicant, e.g. LinkedIn or other social media services
- Any other information provided by the applicant, such as a photograph.

Right of access and right to request rectification and erasure of data
- You have the right to check the data concerning you stored in the personal data file and the right to request the rectification and erasure of inaccurate data.

Right to withdraw consent
- You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out before the withdrawal

Right to object and right to restrict processing
- You have the right to object to or request the restriction and transmission of the processing of your data.

Right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority
- You have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State where you are permanently resident or employed or where the alleged infringement has taken place, if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the EU General Data Protection Regulation

The purpose of the processing of personal data of applicants is to recruit personnel for Scania:
The technical platform of the data file is the LAURA™ service, whose provider LAURA Recruitment Ltd is responsible for the technical implementation of the data file and thus acts as the processor of personal data.
LAURA Recruitment Ltd is a Finnish service located in Finland.

We process the following personal data concerning applicants:
Personal data recorded in the data file are collected primarily from you as an applicant, or with your consent from referees or on the basis of testing. In addition, the data comprise data stored during the recruitment process. Other data sources are used within the limits of legislation.

In principle, we will not disclose your personal data outside the Scania Group, and we will not transfer your personal data outside the EU or EEA.
We use external service providers, such as LAURA Recruitment Ltd, to carry out personal and aptitude assessments and the recruitment process. We conclude a personal data processing agreement with all service providers and require our partners to process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the service.

Data is stored in information systems that use both technical and software means to ensure data security and control access to the data. Communication between LAURA Recruitment Ltd's service and the user's browser is protected by
strong encryption. Data on job applicants are processed only by persons involved in recruitment to the extent necessary for their duties. We ensure data protection through data processing agreements with our subcontractors who
process personal data
Personal data are stored for as long as necessary to fulfil Scania's rights and obligations and to respond to any requests. In principle, data are stored in the service 365 days from applying or from the last date. The necessary data will be transferred to the personal data file of employees when Scania and the applicant conclude an employment contract.
With your consent, your personal data may even be stored for a longer period, e.g. for future recruitment processes.
Personal data may also be stored for a longer period if this is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation imposed on Scania.

Personal data will not be used for automated decision-making that would have legal or similar consequences for the applicant.

As a data subject, you can exercise the rights of the data subject through the management interface of LAURA Recruitment Ltd's service regarding the data contained in the service. If the data cannot be checked, corrected or deleted
via the management interface, the request must be sent to the address stated in section 1. As a data subject, you have the following rights:
